This time we asked you to
create 3 looks for a store called Strawberry Smoothie, but they only have a limited amount of products. 2 Shirts, 2 Bottoms, and 1 jacket/coat. It's up to you to create 3 different looks to attract customers to the store using 2 Shirts, 2 Bottoms, and 1 jacket/coat. Additionally, your model is going on a trip to the Bahamas, so you should have styled and designed accordingly.
The winner of Project Designer will receive the title of The Next Big DeviantART Designer along with melancholycreations, lashanthao, ladylucrezia, and ceazar. You will receive two interviews with top fashion websites, a mentorship from moi ^^ lol, and their final ten piece collections redone by none other than George Nelson (wakasashe-fashion).

TOP 3
lrenah Very fun!
It was as evident as ever that her experience as a designer had provided her with all the right stuff for strategic decision-making and problem-solving. First of all I LOVE the energy! It's just radiating throughout the pieces! The illustrations + colors are great! That first top/jacket is wonderful! Has a kind of strength and elegance to it! Very professional..almost Diane von Furstenburg like. The second top lacks a bit of creativity. I've seen it a million and one times. Though I do love that the outfit is all white! Very clean and crisp. I love the way the third top is illustrated! A nice watercolor effect! The orange and white combo is fun and summery! I love the drape of the top! Great resort wear pieces, very comfortable and sleek. the use of fabric is PERFECT since bamboo fabrics have some amazing qualities like absorbing moisture super fast and repelling bacteria. and it's super soft, which adds to the comfort levels that this collection already has. Great job!Very fabulous!

da-coppa-one coppa continues to be a smooth and steady designer. The second perfect collection in this challenge! Well thought out, extremely wearable. The choice of fabric was great and the renderings are the best I've seen from her yet. everything is interchangeable and the cuts are perfect for resort wear. Coppa investigates her options, lays them out carefully, and ponders the possible outcomes. The outcome for this challenge was an homage to belted jackets and silk blouses. It was wonderful to see the outcome.

Kashirohato Hmmm...interesting. The shirt's okay but we love the shorts! Nice buttons! The Jacket and skirt combo are great! I love the colors and cut! Although those bright strong colors and patterns with the shirt underneath don't work to well. they clash. The last shirt is ok but it also clashes with the shorts! I would work on continuity, and making things flow! Good ideas but they need some touching up, and it would be nice to see some restraint with the colors.

IN
HoAcinom Acinom succeeded while still being Acinom. A fun, edgy collection. resort wear for the more fashionable, rocker type chicks. Everything is interchangeable and everything looks extremely comfortable. The cut of the first halter is really lovely. Her "Cannibal Couture" "carnival" outfit and "frisky" solution had been fun, but she had yet to produce real clothes. Accordingly, I was prepared for Acinom to engage in major compromises about who she is as a designer. Not so. I marveled at how she was able to retain and translate her design philosophy into this challenge. Her silhouette, color choices, construction details, and overall look, were laudable. Can't wait to see more!

MisterSnapple Ah. I've got to say I'm a bit disappointed in the showing for this challenge so far. The first outfit is okay. The top is nice but I can't say I'm too fond of the fabrication or the cut of the skirt. The length isn't very flattering either. The second outfit's weird shawl thingy is nice looking...but that top is horrible. First of all it's just a plain tube top! No darts or pleats or seams or ANYTHING! We like her idea with the pockets although their print clashes with the overload of print on top. Not your style....but it's decent.

BOTTOM 3
Felicidade As much of a jerk as we will sound like in saying this I'm just going to be honest. At this point in the competition my standards are much higher. Not one of those outfits is appealing. Not one. Not ONE THING about them seems to be young, fresh, and flirty. And in the words of Tim Gunn, we only want you to succeed and have a fun experience. Not ONE person I know would buy any of these pieces! And the choice of colors and prints? Oy vey! They're hideous! The two prints she chose look horrible with one another....that was another part of the challenge. realityundersiege TRIED to tell her that the colors looked bad...but no. You didn't listen. We tried to say it in the nicest way possible. It's just a fact of life...red and purple are two very hard colors to get to work with one another! Maybe if you used less harsh cuts and lines, it would look better...because squares and harsh cuts make the look seam masculine...try more curves.

linzinz It's obvious she didn't spend much time on it, but she did have an excuse...her reviews, and obviously life is much more important than PD. But dismissing that, I feel like we've gone back to the first challenge...The shirt looks like a bad knock off of a baseball shirt, the skirt looks a bit young for a woman going to the Bahamas. However we like the next top. And there is a nice cut and design on top. We know you can do better....and since your reviews are over, we better see some fabulousness!
